Some things to know if you're planning a visit:
Gold Hill Mines Historic Park & Gold Hill Rail Trail
The park is open 7 days a week, during daylight hours.(Only exception being for reserved/rented areas. Rental Info)
Picnic tables are available first-come, first-serve. There are no grills provided. Please be responsible, respect your surroundings and take all trash with you when you leave or dispose of it in containers provided.
Absolutely NO Medal Detectors, picks, shovels and/or other digging tools allowed on park property. Please obey all posted park rules and respect other visitors.
We offer guided tours and history sessions Thurs., Fri., Sat. noon-2pm and at other times by appointment. Check in at the E.H. Montgomery General Store in the Village of Gold Hill. Park maps, self-guided tour brochures, booklets and other information is also available for purchase at the Montgomery Store. Guided tours include historic sites and landmarks in the park and along the Gold Hill Rail Trail.
Historic Village of Gold Hill
The hours for the shops in the village are Thurs-Sunday 11am-4pm (with the exception being Fridays, when we're open 11am-9pm and have bluegrass music at the E.H. Montgomery General Store.
Some of the other shops also stay open late during the music.)
The restaurant is open Tues-Sat. 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-7pm.
Tours of the Shops in the Village of Gold Hill are also available.
