Rail Trail Hike
Saturday June 5, 2010

Celebrating National Trails Day
Featured in the June 2010 Issue of 'Our State' Magazine

Historic Gold Hill will again host a hike along the Historic Gold Hill Rail Trail.
We will only offer the hike on Saturday this year.

The Tour/Hike will begin at The E.H. Montgomery General Store in the village at 11:30AM.

The Rail Trail is a protected property of The Land Trust for Central North Carolina. It was developed in partnership with The Historic Gold Hill and Mines Foundation, Inc. and was protected by the Land Trust in 1997 by fee simple acquisition. The 6.92 acre property is an important historic site and provides an area for recreation.

Hikers will get a lesson in history as the trail passes sites and landmarks in Gold Hill Mines Historic Park. Those not interested in hiking will enjoy visiting the shops.

For more information call Vivian Hopkins at   704-267-9439 or 704-279-5674 or email:     Vivian@HistoricGoldHill.com
