**Enjoy a day trip to the restored and revitalized 1800’s gold mining boom town. Your footsteps will echo on the wood sidewalks joining the shops of Gold Hill. If you listen closely you can almost imagine the jingle of spurs from long ago cowboys or listen for the drone of the pumps, picks and shovels from the mines.

Each visit to the village of Gold Hill is a unique experience. Whether it’s shopping & dining, hiking & picnicking, or just a day or night out for fun, Gold Hill has much to offer.

Typical Shopping Hours for the shops in the village are Thurs-Sat. 11:00AM - 4:00PM

( Please Note: Winter Hours for most of the village shops January - March will be Saturdays only)

The E. H. Montgomery General Store Winter hours are:

Friday 4pm - 8pm

Friday evenings 6:00PM - 8PM Live music - Come join the music or just sit and listen.)

Sat. 12noon - 4PM

Sunday 1:00PM - 3:00PM

Or by appointment - We're only a short drive away. Give us a call and we can meet visitors at the store within a short time with advance notice.

Please Note: Tours can also be scheduled on non-open days with advance notice.

Numerous events are scheduled each year in the park and village. Click on Events page here or above for a complete list.

Educational tours of the 70 acre Gold Hill Mines Historic Park are available by request as are tours of the village.

Gold panning can be arranged by request with the tours of the park.

The Gold Hill Rail Trail also provides the opportunity for hiking and/or biking.
