Historic Gold Hill and Mines Foundation, Inc.

*Historic Gold Hill and Mines Foundation, Inc.* (est. in 1992) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Gold Hill and it's cultural heritage.  With 501(c) (3) status, all donations to the foundation qualify for maximum tax deductions.  The foundation relies on private donations for all operating expenses. It's holdings include the 70 acre Gold Hill Mines Historic Park with The Russell-Rufty Memorial Shelter, Gold Hill Jail, Bernhardt Family Log Barn and Assay Office, Restored Powder House and Chilean Ore Mill and an outdoor amphitheater with a 30'x40' covered stage.  The park also includes The Barnhardt, Randolph and Miller Gold Mine Shafts, as well as the Gold Hill Pond and The Gold Hill Rail Trail. The foundation is committed to preserving the park property in it's original, natural state.

As a non-profit organization, its purpose is to,
"attain, restore, maintain, and preserve the mining town of Gold Hill and the mines for the continuation and perpetuation of the tradition upon which the town and surrounding area was established".
